Yogesh Pawar, a versatile actor, director, and trainer, is an alumnus of the prestigious Bhartendu Natya Academy, Lucknow. Born in Saharanpur, he graduated from J.V. Jain College and began his theatre journey in 1989 with the renowned group ‘Natya Academy’. In 1994, he joined Bhartendu Natya Academy and trained under acclaimed theatre artists. After completing his two-year course, he received a one-year fellowship in Kakori and later worked as an actor in ‘Rangmandal’.
He moved to Mumbai in 1999 to explore film and television, returning in 2003 to Saharanpur to mentor young artists. For over a decade, he directed the celebrated Children’s Theatre Workshops of Natya Academy and Udaan. He has acted in over 100 plays, directed more than 50, and performed in over 200 shows across India. Currently, he trains 40 young artists at ‘Mansi Abhinay Gurukul’ and works with ITC to promote theatre and cultural awareness in both rural and urban India.
